Safer Neighborhoods. More Middle Class Housing. A Vibrant Northside.
I remember the day vividly.
Fernando, a high school kid I knew, sat in my chair for a haircut. Normally, he was polite, funny, and always on time. I asked what was wrong, he told me a story that shook me to my core.
He and his little brother had been playing soccer when a car pulled up. Three masked men jumped out, held gun to their heads, and stole their money and phones. As they drove off, one of them looked back at Fernando and said, “We know where you live. Say a word to the cops, and we’ll kill you.”
Our mayor claims crime is under control, but the headlines tell a different story. Murders, muggings, gang violence, drug busts, and kids killing kids. Warner Robins is ranked as one of the ten most dangerous cities in Georgia. We are losing the fight against crime. We need a mayor who wants to win it.
in my book, you do the crime, you do the time.
The crime epidemic is not the only problem facing Warner Robins.
The Northside of Warner Robins is an embarrassment, sorely in need of development. For four years, our mayor has talked about revitalizing downtown, but tearing down buildings is not a redevelopment plan. Real change requires action.
While our current leadership pushes for more welfare housing, I want to build more middle-class housing for young families who want to live, work, and thrive here.
I was raised here. I lived here. At 19, I started my own business, and today, I own a landscaping company managing 130 properties. In my line of work, you leave a place better than you find it. If you don’t, you lose your job. That’s the mindset we need in city leadership.
I may not be as old as the current mayor, but I have something she doesn’t: passion, energy, and real business experience. I understand what it takes to build and manage something successful. I want to bring that experience to city hall. I’m running for mayor to make Warner Robins a city where people want to live, not leave.

My name is Fabian Velazquez, and I have spent my entire life in the heart of Middle Georgia, primarily in Warner Robins. I am a proud graduate of Warner Robins High School, Class of 2019.
I was born in 2001. I vividly recall a time when our beloved town was a smaller, more tight-knit community. Highway 96 consisted of farms and old houses.
Together, we can build a future that honors our past, secures our present, and inspires future generations.
